Rick Campbell

RICK CAMPBELL, a retired Navy Commander, spent more than thirty years in the Navy, serving on four nuclear-powered submarines.  On his last submarine, he was one of the two men whose permission is required to launch its nuclear warhead-tipped missiles.
 
Upon retirement from the Navy, Rick was contracted by Macmillan / St. Martin's Press for his novel The Trident Deception, which was hailed by Booklist as "The best submarine novel written in the last thirty years, since Tom Clancy's classic - The Hunt for Red October".  His first six books were Barnes & Noble Top-10 and Amazon #1 bestsellers, and his seventh book—The Bin Laden Plot—releases in April 2024 at brick-and-mortar and Internet stores everywhere. 
 
Rick has also been contracted by Severn River Publishing for the first six books of a planned 24-book Military Science Fiction series. The first six books are complete and scheduled for release beginning in April 2025.
 
Rick lives in the Washington, D.C. area and is currently working on the 8th book in the Trident Deception series, scheduled for release in 2025, and the next six books in his Military Science Fiction series, which should begin releasing in late 2026.
