What is the Influencer Program?
Our Influencer Program connects book-loving creators with opportunities to receive complimentary print copies of upcoming Severn River Publishing titles.
Creators who join will receive quarterly emails featuring upcoming books available to request.
Who can join?
We welcome creators who enjoy sharing books and recommendations with their communities. Your content does not need to be exclusively book-focused, and there is no minimum follower count.
We work with creators across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, blogs, podcasts, newsletters, Goodreads, StoryGraph, and other reader communities. Must be at least 18 years old.
How do I join?
Sign up using our Influencer Program form. You can also find the sign-up link on our Instagram.
What happens after I join?
Approximately once per quarter, you'll receive an email featuring upcoming titles available for request, along with information about each book and instructions for submitting your request.
We may occasionally contact you about additional opportunities that we think are a good fit.
Do I need to sign up or request a book every quarter?
No. Once you join, you'll remain on our influencer mailing list unless you unsubscribe.
You're also welcome to skip any quarterly offering. Please only request books that genuinely interest you and are a good fit for your content or audience.
How many books can I request?
Each quarterly email will explain how many titles you may request. In most cases, requests will be limited to one title per offering.
Will I receive every book I request?
No. Print copies are limited, and submitting a request does not guarantee that you'll receive a book. If requests exceed the number of copies available, not every creator will be selected.
What kind of books will I receive?
The program primarily offers complimentary print copies of upcoming titles. Depending on the book, you may receive an advance reading copy (ARC), finished copy, or another promotional edition.
Books will generally be mailed prior to publication, although timing will vary by title.
Am I required to post about a book I receive?
No. Unless otherwise stated for a specific opportunity, receiving a complimentary book through the Influencer Program does not require a social media post or review.
We hope you'll request books you're genuinely excited to read and, if you enjoy them, share them wherever you connect with readers.
Do I need to disclose that I received the book for free?
Yes. If you post about a complimentary book you received through the program, please clearly disclose that you received the book for free.
For example: “Thanks to @severnriverpublishing for the free copy!”
Any additional campaign hashtags or disclosure instructions will be included with the opportunity.
Will I be paid for posting about a book?
The standard Influencer Program provides complimentary books and does not include monetary compensation or a posting requirement.
We may occasionally contact creators separately about paid partnerships or sponsored campaigns. Compensation, deadlines, posting requirements, and content guidelines for those opportunities will be communicated separately.
Can I participate if I live outside the United States?
At this time, the Influencer Program is limited to creators with U.S. mailing addresses.
