Book description

A friend he can't refuse. A crime he can't prove. A man he can't touch.

Stavros Papadopoulos doesn't call in favors. He calls in debts. This one comes with a name — Malcolm Bellamy, celebrated philanthropist — and a demand Ian Hale has always refused: murder him.

Instead of assassination, Hale and Laney Shaw go undercover, chasing evidence no one else could obtain. Bellamy's charity is spotless on paper, and the deeper they dig, the more certain Hale becomes that its respectable façade conceals something monstrous.
